How the Council Works?
Lisburn City Council is represented by 30 Members who were elected in May 2011.
In order to manage the work of the Council, a Committee system is in operation. Committees meet each month (with the exception of the Strategic Policy Committee which meerts quarterly) and decisions taken at these meetings are approved/debated at a full meeting of Council, which normally takes place on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
